Kelly Ripa has caused controversy after insisting that a Thanksgiving meal should be eaten at dinner time.

"Thanksgiving dinner is dinner which means it should happen at dinner time," she exclaimed on Live with Kelly and Ryan on Friday, adding: "Dinner should exist late!"

The outburst came as she read an Atlantic article that claimed 4pm is the best time to eat a turkey dinner with family unit and friends.
"I do non understand everyone's obsession with having Thanksgiving dinner at 2 p.grand. Then you're hungry at six p.yard and vii p.m. and 8 p.m, and then you're eating, and then you lot're binging, so y'all're having leftovers," she continued, suggesting that leftovers demand to be saved for the post-obit days.

Kelly was joined past co-star Ryan Seacrest and invitee Kevin Hart, who agreed with her that information technology makes no sense to eat in the middle of the twenty-four hours.
Merely fans were divided, with one commenting: "Some people accept to work all day on Black Friday and aren't afforded the luxury to have a pick."

Thanksgiving takes place this year on Th 25 November, and is the traditional American vacation giving cheers for the blessing of the harvest subsequently the pilgrims first arrived.
